My name is Obidi Nzeribe, and I'm a portrait/fashion photographer currently living in Dallas, TX. I think my style is best described as eclectic, colorful, bold and somewhat weird/edgy. I am heavily inspired by the powerful and creative minds of Steven Meisel, Lindsay Adler, Nadine Ijewere, Steven Klein, Edward Enninful and Charlie Rutherford etc.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Material Science and Engineering, but photography will always be the hobby that turned into a passion for me. My goals are to continuously show my personality through my love for photography, inspire others through my online audience, shoot editorials and covers for my favorite fashion magazines, as well as campaigns for fashion houses and brands.
What’s your setup?
I regularly shoot with a Sony a7RII, and ocassionally with a Canon 80D. My lens of choice is the Sigma ART 35mm f1.4
How do you achieve the “Hazy/blurry/dreamy” look on photos?
I do it all in camera by applying a bit of chapstick to my UV filter.
Which software do you use to edit?
Photoshop most of the time, and Lightroom occasionally.
